GMA7 Kapuso’s hit loveteam Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are looking forward to doing a movie together, now with talks of their new film, with another GMA talent Ms. Iza Calzado.

The Pinoy version of the hit telenovela Marimar paved way for the Marian-Dingdong tandem, with Marian becoming an overnight sensation, and Dingdong, a certified hunk. The two are now busy with the fantaserye Dyesebel, which also airs primetime on the kapuso network.

Bukod sa pagiging Most Promising Female Star at Phenomenal TV Star sa nakaraang 38th Box-Office Entertainment Awards ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc., si Marian Rivera rin ang nahirang na Face of The Night.

Ayon kay Marian, hindi raw talaga niya naisip na makakatanggap siya ng ganitong karaming award nang dahil sa paggawa nga niya ng Marimar. Pero siyempre pa’y ang mga fans niya ang unang dapat na pasalamatan niya.

“Ay, utang na loob ko itong lahat sa mga fans ko na nagsusuporta at tumutulong sa akin. Basta ako, iniaalay ko ang award ko sa lahat ng taong naniniwala at nagmamahal sa akin,” panimula ni Marian nang makausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

GOOD FORTUNE. Kung ngayong taon ay Most Promising Female Star pa lang siya, posible kaya na next year ay siya naman ang itanghal na Box-Office Queen?

“Ang hirap kasing magsabi na next year, ganito na ‘ko. Siguro kung ano lang ang ibinibigay sa akin. Sa ngayon, sobra-sobra ang ibinibigay sa akin ni Lord. At masaya ‘ko na maraming tao ang nagmamahal sa akin. Yun lang, masayang-masaya na ‘ko.”

Kahit daw ang ratings na tinatamasa ngayon ng Dyesebel ay hindi raw nila ine-expect.

“To be honest, wala, hindi namin iniisip na mataas ang rating namin or whatever. Ang importante sa amin, napapaligaya namin ang mga taong nanonood ng Dyesebel.”

Maging sa endorsements, pareho sila ng kapareha niyang Dingdong Dantes na among the most in-demand celebrities ngayon. Ani Marian, kabilang daw ito sa mga bagay na hindi niya inaasahang bigla na lang dumating.

“Nagulat nga ako, e. Salamat talaga sa kanila. Sa lahat ng mga taong kumukuha sa akin. Sa mga commercials, salamat sa kanila dahil nagtitiwala sila sa akin.”

“HAYAN NA NAMAN!” Iyan ang paulit-ulit na sabi Marian when PEP asked her about intrigues, kasi lumalabas na ilan sa mga dating endorsements daw ni Angel Locsin ay siya na ngayon ang kinukuhang bagong endorser.

Sabi nga niya, “Ay, hindi ko alam. Bilang isang artista, bilang isang kinukuhang talent para sa isang commercial, ang manager ko ang nakikipag-usap. Wala akong alam sa ganoong bagay. Basta ang importante sa akin, ino-offer sa akin. Ginagawa namin at masaya ako na nagtitiwala sila sa akin.”

PENDING AMNESIA. Samantala, ang manager ni Marian na si Popoy Caritativo ang nagpaunang nagsabi na hindi pa raw niya nai-inform ang alaga na may mga pagbabago sa schedule GMA Films movie sana nila ni Dingdong Dantes at Iza Calzado. Amnesia ang working title ng gagawin nila nina Dingdong at Iza. Clueless nga si Marian nang tanungin ng PEP kung kalian sila magsu-shooting.

“Hindi ko pa po alam. ‘Tsaka siguro, dahil din siguro sa schedule namin. Like ako, ang dami ko ring schedule this month, next month. So, hindi ko rin alam kung paano namin maisisingit lahat. Pero sana , matuloy yun, kasi, isang malaking opportunity rin na makatrabaho ko sa movie sina Dingdong at Ms. Iza Calzado.”

Marian Rivera’s love for dancing inspired the album Marian Rivera Dance Hits. It recently had its gold record award when it sold 15,000 copies. Today, the dance album of the Dyesebel star has sold 30,000 copies making it a platinum album.

Napanood na ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang TV commercial ni Marian Rivera ng latest product endorsement niyang Nesvita Drink, pero sabi ng manager nitong si Popoy Caritativo, this Sunday sa S.O.P. ang formal launching ng TV commercial.

Last week ng March pa kinunan ang TVC, pero isinabay ang pagpapalabas nito sa airing ng Dyesebel na magsisimula na sa Monday, after Joaquin Bordado.

Kasabay nito, ang awarding kay Marian, dahil after three months, nag-platinum ang kanyang dance album mula sa Universal Records, ang Marian Rivera Dance Hits.

Ang platinum mark ay equivalent ng 30,000 copies sold. Sobrang nagulat ito nang bigyan ng gold record award for the same album, kaya siguradong triple ang gulat nito ‘pag nalamang nag-platinum na ang nasabing album.

Hindi pa masabi ni Popoy kung magkakaroon ng volume 2 ang album at ang Universal Records ang magdedesiyon, pero kung may panibagong offer kay Marian, tatanggapin nito’t, hilig nito ang sumayaw.

Samantala, tuwing nakakausap ng PEP si Popoy, update ng product endorsement nito ang hinihingi. Nalaman ng PEP na may apat pang commercials na tinanggap si Marian at isa rito’y magiging controversial. Kung bakit? Saka na sasabihin ng PEP.

Marian Rivera will no longer do the movie with Dolphy and Vic Sotto according to Pinoy Entertainment Portal. Although Marian’s manager Popoy Caritativo has no statement yet regarding the matter, the reason could be the actress’ tight schedule as the shooting of her fantaserye “Dyesebel” is about to start on April 2, 2008 in Palawan.

Former beauty queen and Big Brother housemate Riza Santos is reportedly taking over the role. The shooting of the movie will start on Friday, March 28.Aside from Riza, Ryan Agoncillo is also one of the confirmed cast of the yet-to-be-titled movie of the 2 comedy royalties.

If you were a TV addict like me for sure you would have noticed that aside from KC Concepcion, Marian Riverais also one of top TV commercial endorsers now. For a regular person like us, we can analyze that celebrities TV endorsements are only based on their fame and great looks. But what’s so surprising is that Marian Rivera’s talent fee for Sunsilk is just the same with Heart Evangelista and Maja Salvador. The three of them received 5 Million each.

With Marian Rivera’s extreme popularity, I really thought that she was earning more like Piolo Pascual (10M for Clear) and John Lloyd Cruz (12M for Biogesic). So, what do you think is the problem with Marian Rivera? The answer…her diction and voice projection. I have learned that advertisers do not base talent fees on popularity and looks but also with diction and voice projection. I think that is just right, endorsers should be pitch perfect when delivering their lines or else the products they are endorsing will not sell.

I just hope Marian Rivera would take time in improving her flaws. She is losing millions and possible earnings. No wonder many advertisers are asking for her because her talent fee is cheaper compared to her popularity. Thank you to the magic of dubbing.
