Why did you enter showbiz? “Actually, hindi ko inisip kahit kailan na magsho-showbiz ako, kasi alam kong sobrang hirap [dito]. Dumating na lang sa point na dinala lang ako ng kapalaran ko na dito ako dapat.”
What’s your biggest dream? “Sino ba naman ang hindi may gustong sobrang maayos ang buhay, di ba? At siguro napatunayan ko na sa sarili ko na kaya kong tumayo sa sarili kong paa na hindi ako umaasa sa kung ano mang mayroon kami. Syempre lagi kong iniisip na lahat ng bagay, hindi forever. Kaya ako, gusto ko magkabahay ako at magka-business. Para kahit anong mangyari sa akin, may fallback ako.”

Marian Gracia Rivera, more popularly known as Marian Rivera (born August 12, 1984 in Madrid, Spain) is an Filipina actress and commercial model. She rose to fame for her title role in the Philippine remake of MariMar.
Rivera’s father is a Spaniard named Francisco Javier Gracia while her mother is a Filipina named Amalia Rivera. Her parents separated when she was 2 years of age. While her parents stayed in Spain where her mother worked as an OFW, and Marian was sent to live with her grandmother in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines.
Rivera began her career as a ramp and commercial model, which landed her with an appearance on TV advertisements for Skin White Lotion and Sky Flakes crackers. Production company TAPE Inc. then signed her to cast in a series of afternoon soap operas for GMA Network: Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako, Agawin Mo Man Ang Lahat (where she was named as the “Best New Female Personality” at the 2006 PMPC Star Awards and Pinakamamahal. Oyo Boy Sotto was her leading man in these soaps. GMA Network then cast her into mother roles for the afternoon Philippine-Malaysian drama Muli and the primetime telefantasya Super Twins.
After which TAPE Inc., signed and casted her in a series of 3 afternoon soaps for the GMA Network: Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako, Agawin Mo Man Ang Lahat and Pinakamamahal. Oyo Boy Sotto was her leading man in these three aforementioned soaps. GMA Network then casted her into mother roles for the afternoon Philippine-Malaysian drama Muli and the primetime telefantasya Super Twins. But her biggest break came when she won the title role of Marimar, the remake of the Mexican telenovela which starred Thalia. She auditioned and bested all other young stars who were vying for the highly-coveted role. Marimar is currently and consistently the highest rating show on Philippine primetime TV according to AGB Nielsen. Her team-up with one of GMA Network’s most bankable young actors, Dingdong Dantes (playing Sergio Santibanez in Marimar), proved to be a huge success. GMA Network Executives dubbed her as “The Next Big Star.” She is now tagged as Philippine’s Primetime Princess after her successful debut starrer.

Hi Marian
First and foremost I would like to congratulate you. You have earned every bit of success you are enjoying at the moment.
A few words of advice, regarding posing for FHM - definitely you can pose but be different and unique and stay in the range of clothing yourself more - rather than less. Show less skin if you can so you are able to maintain your allure and mystery. Don’t be like the others before who bares it all. Leave some room in the imagination. You are so stunningly beautiful enough to even show any further skin.
Secondly, be like Regine Velasquez or Charlene Gonzales - they were able to have lots of success in movies, fashion, tv shows, modelling, commercial endorsements etc., and yet they did not bare a lot of skin or went bold. Both of them are very successful. They were able to transcend the usual norm of going bold in movies, just for the sake of money. That is not a good way to be recognized or to rise to fame and stardom. Try to focus on honing your acting skills by taking in more acting lessons. Maintain your dignity, moral values, integrity, ethics, and people from all walks of life will respect you. It is important that people respect you. Those are values that are priceless and non-negotiable.
Thirdly, You are doing a good job in always, thanking your fans, and always generous in praising other people. You show your humility in doing so and that is a very BIG FACTOR in your being successful. Plus your sweet smile.
Fourthly, STOP your always fighting with other people. It might turn off your fans. You also don’t want to always have this negative news as you want your career to flourish with positive thoughts and things rather than petty intrigues. Be ladlylike and stay true to form - LADYLIKE WITH CLASS. Your stunning beauty, looks and classiness don’t jibe with being always fighting with people.
Continue to be professional, don’t burn your bridges and continue to maintain having good working relationships will all actors, so you will earn their respect. That is important
You have a degree and you seem to be an intelligent person with good planning skills, try to get some business management courses - for your career and future business ventures.
Lastly, LOVE, FALLING IN LOVE AND MARRIAGE - you are very much aware that you can have those in a whimp, but I suggest that you wait until the RIGHT MAN comes along your way. These are major decisions in your life that you don’t want to make mistakes on. Try to put that aside for the moment and concentrate on your growing career. You look very good in magazine photos. Continue to hone up on your speech, voice and projections, so you will look better in commercials and more endorsements will follow and more companies will get you. Look at Charlene Gonzales - she waited for the right man and true enough she had Aga at the right time and right place.
